Somerset Surf Enduro 2026
Saturday, October 3, 2026
PLEASE NOTE: Somerset SLSC and the Event Referee will monitoring weather conditions and a decision will be made if the race takes place on Thursday, 1st September evening.
The long course will be an approximately 12km downwind course.
Easterly conditions: The race will start in front of the Burnie Yacht Club and finish in front of the Somerset SLSC.
Westerly conditions: The race will start in front of Guttridge Gardens approx. 400m upstream from the Wynyard Yacht Club jetty and boat ramp and will finish in front of the Somerset SLSC.
Severe weather option: The race will start in front of the Wynyard Yacht Club.
All clubs that have a competitor registered to compete in the Enduro 12km event must provide an IRB, driver and crew member for water assitance.
ENDURO 12km Events
Race Check in at the location (Wynyard Yacht Club or Burnie Yacht Club) and is open from 11:15am.
Briefing will follow at 11:40am.
Race Start 12pm
Safety equipment required: hi-vis vests, flare or phone,leg ropes and approved PFD.
All boat and IRB retrievals will be west of the Somerset SLSC Clubhouse and carpark - Clubs are not to take vehicles onto the beach. Somerset SLSC will use their CanAm to retrieve boats from the beach. This is a requirement of Wartah Wynyard Council and Crown Land/National Parks.
BOARD RACES
The board races will be held on a 4km and 2km course off Somerset Beach.
Board Race Check in will open from 9:15am
Briefing 9:45 for a 10:00am Start
Safety equipment required: hi-vis vests
It is expected that competing clubs assist with water safety

Parking will be on the grass west of the clubhouse.
Food and drink for purchase will be available.
